The Centaurus High School Varsity Cheerleaders will be heading to the UCA Nationals High School Cheerleading Championships at Disney World in Orlando on February 7-8.

Come out on Wednesday, February 4th to see the team perform their Nationals routine before they head out. The event is free for everyone. Come to the main gym by 8:30pm. (This is immediately following a wrestling event, so we will start as soon as they clear the gym.)

State Spirit Championship Results - First Place in 4A

CONGRATULATIONS to the Centaurus Varsity cheer team for making finals at the State Championships. The team had a stellar performance in the finals and finished 5th in the 4A/5A Coed division. They were also the first place 4A team in the state in the coed division. A total of 38 teams, (19 5A teams and 18 4A), teams competed in the division.

CHS Cheerleading Mini Cheer Clinic 2014

Instructions for the Mini Cheerleaders Game Performance

Saturday, October 18 at Centaurus High School Stadium (Spangenberg Field)

Check in is from 9-9:15 am: (Meet in the grass field adjacent to the stadium.)

Children should wear weather appropriate clothing that is easy to move around in. Black, white, blue and red clothing is best in order to show Centaurus spirit. Girls should also wear the bow that they received at the clinic.

Please bring your child to the grass field west of the stadium, and check in to receive the camp t-shirt and bow to wear during the game and take home as a keepsake. At this time, they will meet with their Centaurus cheerleaders to warmup, practice their routine, and play some fun games.

Children will be returned to their parents at 9:45am. Parents will sit in the parent section of the home stands with their child. When there are 5 minutes remaining on the game clock for the second quarter, please bring your child down to meet the cheerleaders once again.

At half-time, the children will perform a demonstration of what they learned at camp.

The children will be released to the care of their parents following their halftime performance. You are welcome to stay and watch the remainder of the game, or depart at that time.
