CHS Cheerleading Mini Cheer Clinic 2015

Instructions for the Mini Cheerleaders Game Performance

Friday, October 23 at Centaurus High School Stadium 
(Spangenberg Field)

Check in is from 6-6:15 pm: (Meet in the grass practice field adjacent to the stadium.)

Children should wear weather appropriate clothing that is easy to move around in. Black, white, blue and red clothing is best in order to show Centaurus spirit. 

Please bring your child to the grass field west of the stadium, and check in to receive the camp t-shirt and bow to wear during the game and take home as a keepsake. At this time, they will meet with their Centaurus cheerleaders to warmup, practice their routine, and play some fun games.

Children will be returned to their parents at 6:45pm. Parents will need to pay the entrance fee into the varsity game, and sit in the parent section of the home stands with their child. When there are 5 minutes remaining on the game clock for the second quarter, please bring your child down to meet the cheerleaders once again.

At half-time, the children will perform a demonstration of what they learned at camp.

The children will be released to the care of their parents following their halftime performance. You are welcome to stay and watch the remainder of the game, or depart at that time.

The Junior Cheer Clinic is almost here!

Hello Parent's,

For the clinic on Monday, October 12, please have your child/children there by 8:30 a.m. for check-in. Angevine has a district meeting on the day of the clinic and we have been asked to not park in the parking lots. We are asking everyone to drive to the back parking lot and park along the curb following the football field. We will have volunteers to help with check in and get you out of there ASAP. Please make sure all registration information (Waiver, ER contacts, allergies, etc.) are correct before leaving. If payment has not been made yet, please bring payment tomorrow (cash or check made out to CHS Cheer) or you may pay through the end of today on RevTrak, RevTrak Payments to cheer clinic. Please provide child's first and last name with your payment.

Please have your child/children arrive in comfortable clothing that they can easily move around and tumble in. We may be outside part of the day so please wear tennis shoes, no flip flops or sandles. Please bring a sack lunch and water bottle for extra water. We will provide water and snacks. Please apply sunscreen if needed as it will be a sunny day tomorrow.

For the parent's who are coming back to watch the performance, please be inside by 1:45. You will need to park on the street behind Angevine (Delphi Street, Minotaur Cir, etc.) along the football field as we are not allowed to use the school parking lots due to the district meeting. If you are just showing up to pick up your child//children you can park in the same spot for drop off's. Along the curb in the back parking lot. Pick up will be at 2:00. Make sure you sign out with one of the volunteer's before leaving. You will be provided the game day instructions at sign out. T-shirts and bows will be handed out the night of the game, Friday, October 23rd at Centaurus High School upon check in. Please refer to instructions that will be provided to you.

If your child/children are unable to make the game please contact Kathy Grieble 303-910-7328 to schedule pick up of the T-shirt and bow on Wednesday, October 28th at the Centaurus High School main office between 11 am and 3 pm.

Looking for Boys to join the coed team

We are still looking for some boys to join us this season on our coed team.
We can work around the schedules of other sports if necessary.
No obligation to join the team. Just come out and try coed stunting at our open stunt sessions, all summer long on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 8:30 or 9am at CHS.

Contact a cheerleader or the coaches for any information.

UCA Cheer Camp

Congratulations to the team for being chosen by the 

other teams at camp for the leadership award. 

When asked what team they would want to be a part of if they were not on their own team, they chose CENTAURUS!

One team even gave us their blow up dolphin to show our connection with their team.

The varsity coed team was also camp champions 

in the stunt sequence and Elite Routine. 

(Actually, we were the only coed team.)

Also, all 6 of our junior and seniors were chosen as All Americans!

Congratulations to those ladies.

Please click on the "2015-16 Season Info" tab for updated important information.

Also, today begins our journey of cheer tryouts. Don't worry, it is going to be fun!

Please be sure to bring your sports physical to practice today. Also, please wear a white shirt with black shorts or athletic pants. (If you do not have black, that will be fine for today.) Your hair needs to be secured away from your face in a ponytail. The bangs should be pulled back as well. Wear athletic shoes, cheer shoes if you have them. And NO JEWELRY. All jewelry must be removed. No taping is allowed. This is a National Federation rule, and we adhere to it very strictly. No one will be allowed to stunt with jewelry.

The Centaurus High School Varsity Cheerleaders will be heading to the UCA Nationals High School Cheerleading Championships at Disney World in Orlando on February 7-8.

Come out on Wednesday, February 4th to see the team perform their Nationals routine before they head out. The event is free for everyone. Come to the main gym by 8:30pm. (This is immediately following a wrestling event, so we will start as soon as they clear the gym.)
